Iritty Taluk in Kannur District was registered as an 'Aikya nanaya Sahakarana Sangham' on 30/07/1946 with its headquarters at Iritty. It was started on 07/08/1946. A cash crop shop was also functioning under the bank at that time when there was a food shortage. Knowing the needs of the malayora meghala, the fertilizer depot and ration shop had been functioning under the bank for a long time. It was registered as a rural bank on 15/07/1957. The working area of the bank is the entire Iritty Taluk and a few parts of Thalassery Taluk. The villages include Keezhur, Aralam, Velimanam, Ayyankunnu, Muzhakkunnu, Manathana, Kanichar, Kelakam, Kottiyoor, Vellarvalli, Payam, Tholambra, Vekkalam, Padiyoor and Vayathur. In addition to the head office at Iritty Nerampokku, the bank has 5 other branches at Iritty, Angadikadavu, Edoor, Ulikkal and Peravoor. Neethi Medical Shop at Iritty and Ulikkal and Neethi Building Materials Shop at Ulikkal are functioning under the bank.
